how can i get an SSS ranking in a nest runs especially manti nest?

i tried partying with strong people but S is the highest rank we got

i also tried opening the chests and waiting for the next batch of golems to get more points but still no luck

the only way i get SSS is when i run solo.

When you do dungeon runs, at the end you'll see that there are quite a few criterias that contribute to the total point. Such criterias include time of dungeon run and combos. The 'combos' criteria contributes more point than the dungeon run time criteria. Hence, it's best to focus on combos rather than fast dungeon runs. However if you take too long to finish the nest run your score will also drop as fater run time, higher points. Moreover, the longer you do the dungeon, the more chances you have to receive damage from the monsters which decreases your points. It is extremely hard to balance between time and combos. I myself haven't seen anybody got SSS, my best is SS in a group. Oh and the difficulty of getting a higher rank increases with the amount of party members you have, that's also another reason why you have only gotten SSS when doing it solo

AFAIK, only the highest combo counts in the added score (basing from stage-end info). Other things you can do:

  • Multi-kills
  • Shield breaks (time an SA breaking skill when an enemy blocks using a shield)
  • Destroying breakables (AoEs/range skills makes this easy)
  • Looting (preferrably with a pet, since manually looting takes a lot of time)
  • Chaining skills
  • Aerial combos (launch enemy -> juggle, like Tekken biglaugh)

Basically, anything you do that gets a note popping up near the score (rightside of the screen) during the dungeon run. I recommend shield breaks, they seem to add a lot if accumulated.

@theorgil: I have my doubts but I'll trust your words. If that character in your sig is as twisted as Light, I might consider. lol

@Gazette: Apparently, he just used Light's 'Just as planned' line. It's not Kira. crazy

@tomialex: After much editing, I found out a few things.

1. My sig was made before they made changes for forum signatures. So we can't edit through codes now. gasp

2. If you want pics, just click the image button and put the link of the pic.

3. After putting in the same signature that I have (with much editing to delete the question marks - they look awful, ruining my sig), this message pops up. 'Your signature is too long. Please keep shorter.' gasp In other words, you won't be able to put multiple images anymore. Case closed much to my dismay.

I suggest creating a collage or banner if you will to get the 'multiple pics' feeling in your sig if you want. bow

@tomialex

It can't be helped, it was abused before so CC limited it to one pic, more or less.burntout

@theorgil

I thought he was also Light lol. The 'Just as planned' quote was a bad giveaway.... But they do somehow resemble each other with that sinister look though....bow

Well, you can ask other players in the Fan Media section to help make you one. I think there's a so-called signature shop there tongueout

There is no size limit if I remember correctly, but the signature area won't adjust if the pic you embedded is longer than it could handle. I'm not sure about the precise value but the height should be less than 250, that's about it.

As for SSS rank in Manti / Apo nest, I get SSS rank once in Manti Normal, once in Apoc Hell and another in Manti Hell.

I tried 3 times so far (the data is still incomplete which requires more nest  test runs) but I did get SSS rank by having this criteria:

- 100k and above points (the points shows to the right on your screen, not the total points one where it shows time completed/combos made/etc.)

- 100 and above combos.

- Never die. Even once.

I tested this with my Engineer partied with 3 other people.

Ah, no. There is a corresponding maximum height the signature area can only show. Well, for example, I'll make my signature's height by 300 and see what the outcome will look like. smile

Any tips on managing characters of different 'woods'? smile

Since my guild (w/  my RL friends) was disbanded after they quitted one by one, I was being forever alone in Holywood. It was the Holywood server opening that my friends and I transferred for the event & rewards. But, the others returned to Greenwood for their original chars. Then, I did create a FU (stuck at 32) at GW but I think I am having a hard time for her as I have invested much on my EL and leveling my ALchemist.

@Zee__

Prioritize which you want to focus on. The other characters in the other woods should simply be something you want to pass the time by with. Try to make different jobs in different woods. It'll at least keep your interest up. It's still always best to focus on one server though. It's different than multiple characters or multiple accounts because by playing in different servers you're playing in different communities.

@Chromalix

What would 'best' be? High amount? Stable? Low-risk?
