Hi there. May we know if your gladiator is built towards pvp or pve or a mix? It'll help us know better so that some of us can offer advice that will optimize your heraldry slots.

Gladiators focus on physical skills (damage)
1. Bear
2. Destruction
3. Wind (for some crit)
4. Fatal
5. Ultimate (FD builds only or if you want to increase your damage another notch)

The remaining plates are up to your own discretion
1. Life vitality (increase HP)
2. Health (increase vit)
3. Shining (increase def)
4. Tent (increase mdef)
5. Energy (increase your mp regen)

For skill heraldries (any 4)
1. Triple slash (damage)
2. Finish attack (damage/cd)
3. Hacking stance (damage)
4. Rage (damage/cd)
5. Evasion slash (damage)

2. side kick (20%? or 50%) dont know if there is 20%
3. rage(damage)
4. moonsplitter(damage)

not forcing you though... suit yourself^^ (:])

you could refer to this part on my guide if youre willing to learn more..

G. PVE

I pertained to compe off and pve as almost the same earlier, for economical purposes I suggest compe off pvp players to focus more on paralyze lock than stunning or other factors in pvp such as knight suffix etc, it is more logical that way because eventually WA classes have high str gain / paralyze and other classes have low resist to them...

THE BEST ADVICE I COULD GIVE IS TO USE ( LIGHT IMPACT SKILLS ) WHILE THE ENEMY IS ON PARALYSIS STATE ( not moving and flinching for a long time )

this explains why people get paralyze lock via sidekick...the wrong portion is to deal more damage people forget that other skills have the same hit state as sidekick refer above for those skills example are triple slash m1m1m1 and eclipse.

G1. GEARS

credits to trishula im just adding up a little twich and explanations for them...

Enchantment Plates

Destruct - physical damage
Bear - str adds up paralyze and physical damage
Wind - agi adds up critical and an ample of physical damage
Health - vit adds up hp
Life - increases your hp pool
Fatal - increase your critical chance
Shining - increases your defense
Ultimate - final damage for rich builds
Tent - if your build is not entirely fd there is no point adding up fd right? so you'll add up more defense and the only defense left to pump up is magic def
Paralyze - in compe off paralyze is a dangerous skill it makes that opponent experience a permanent flinching state pumping this added up with bear set is pretty AWESOME

Suffix Choice

I find trishunas reasoning ideal for this, youd take up only one route as a Gladiator, and that is MORE DAMAGE AND MORE CRITICAL CHANCE and what better way to categorize them but the difference of the RICH AND THE POOR

but before that lets differentiate str and agi...

STR

1 STR = 0.5 Melee Physical Damage

1 STR = 3 Paralyze Chance

1 STR = 3 Paralyze Resistance

1 STR = 2.5 Stun Chance

AGI

1 AGI = 0.25 Physical Damage

1 AGI = 3.5 Critical Chance

1 AGI = 10.5 Critical Resist

POOR to AVERAGE

Helmet (Wind)
Shirt (Wind)
Pants (Wind)
Gloves (Will/HP/TENT)  there is no wind for gloves sadly, the effects are almost the same for each so its personal preference to this point :(
Boots (Wind)

the suffix for armors are most likely needed for the stats that they give and not the procs they offer

Having wind means getting crit and an ample of increase in attack and as what ive said the critical boosting is essential for gladiators, refer above for bonus from str and agi.

For weapon suffix on the other hand procs are needed for group and additional offense amplification...
unlike in t3 on t4 proc stacking doesnt work anymore so even though you'd like to go for double windswept its impractical..

Main Weapon

(Wind)  <<< more chances to crit, for you and the whole pt

(Destruct) <<< more damage for the stat the proc sucks for Gladiators since it amplifies a single attack and our skills are multi hits i prefer this pot more for merc classes not SMs.

Sub Weapon

(Iron wall) <<< improve damage for 10sec as well as help melee pt members

(Destruct) <<< Same above

Suggestion:

SOLO: wind,destruct
PT: wind,iron wall

RICH

Going for pve means you need a good dps since its the only role a gladiator could take, besides being a
runner for levelling / aplication of damage and superarmor debuff / highlander casting...

FD is the best way to have a good dps since it gives up fix damage increase amplication per fix value

I suggest to go for 4:3 totem:immort set its the most effective one for now, have them all at bear if you could afford having a 15k crit cap without wind equips, if not have a combination of 2:3 or 3:2 wind bear for the armor sets.

Immortal set
2 - Increases Magical Damage: +195
2 - Increases Physical Damage: +195
3 - Increases Final Damage: +300
4 - Increases Dark Def: +7.37%
5 - Increases Critical: +1,040
7 - Increases Dark Def: +10.32%
Ancient totem set
2 - Increases Max HP: +3,570
3 - Increases Max MP: +3,332
4 - Increases Final Damage: +140
5 - Increases Physical Damage: +210
5 - Increases Magical Damage: +210
7 - Increases Final Damage: +245

Get 3rd stat critical for your heralds mentioned above ( for 5pcs BEAR users )

Honestly if you cant afford having totem parts but youre planning to collect them as the price go down ( like me XD) just stack up all the gold you have collect all the codes you might need and concentrate on having high upgrade blue set weapons/armor with highest possible damage/critical chance Getting epic weapons however could boost your damage well however if you'll be aiming for that why not go for totem instead?

Accessory

Accesories are categorize into three actually, for the poor ones they might get high agi, fatal access while the average ones go for skill rings, the rich ones however go for FD rings such as REV APOC and so so (note fd build is for the SUPER RICH TYPE this includes having fd/crit builds to be super effective)  since there is no bishop hell the fd rings for lvl.50 is still not available....

Choices for Skill Accessories are stated above....

Necklace (Evasion Slash) <<< high damage increase for level 3 evasion slash
Earring (Triple Slash) <<< the only great skill for earring
Ring (Finishing Attack) <<< high damage increase like evasion slash
Ring (Provoking Slam) <<< higher level makes higher amplification and added boost to overall dps

GET THE MOST PREFERED STAT YOU LIKE such as, agi/str/crit or even p.attack/crit for rings :D

Gear HIDDEN POTENTS

For armors people usually go for
1.HP%
2.AGI
3.STR
4.VIT

For weapons
1.ATTACK%
2.AGI
3.STR
4.CRIT
5.M.attack% << useless if you go pure physical DUH?
6.VIT

For Accesories ( Rings )
1.ATTACK%
2.CRIT%
3.STR
4.AGI
5.VIT

For Accesories ( EAR/NECK )
1. HP%
3.STR
4.AGI
5.VIT

Note: this goes according to which stat to prioritize...

PS: most gladiators have the same gear for pve and pvp compe off, they aim to paralyze and deal damage in compe off so the result will be almost the same as to increasing the damage for pve (pumping str = pumping paralyze)

G2. SKILL BUILD

PURE PVE BUILD

Posted Image

Note:

rage level 1 because its pretty much useless in pve than in pvp due to nerf
c.break and rising slash 11 for dps ( you cant take lvl 16 c.break so having both at 11 is better )
a max parry stance just in case you hate dodging
maxed debuffs
no kicks since you'll be doin pve only and kicks are used for combos in pvp its pretty much useless to waste points on them
3 points left :D

HYBRID PVP/PVE BUILD

Posted Image

Note:

This could be a subsidary build for my pure pvp build above take into account that this goes according to your gameplay

the difference are as follows:

lesser damage for rising slash
has parry tree and 2 counters
has a lesser cyclone AOE (lvl 1)

G3. ROLE

A gladiator's role is pretty simple but i'll be categorizing it as to what specific dungeon/scenario..

LEVELLING

the most in demand job in for levelling is the WA class, main reason is cause we could MOVE fast this includes openning and closing of stage keys/crystals etc., be sure to do your role and dont slack around waiting for other class to unlock keys/crystals it'll help all people in the party and a fast level for yourself as well.

NESTING

Admit it or not and quit defending the obvious, gladiators suck at nesting, our role would perhaps be damager however it'll be a battle as to what class is more geared cause if we compare a geared EL and a geared glad the answer is obvious in terms of dps the pt will pick the EL, however dont lose hope!! not all could gear their characters well so it'll be a battle as to "WHO IS MORE GEARED" rather than "WHAT CLASS IS BETTER" in pve...

the role of a glad on a nest flourishes on 4 main reasons...assuming that you get picked and other main members are already in the pt ( priests, mercs, acros, FU )

FORCE TANK - parry stance and take one for the team ( optional mercs could do better )
LIFE SAVER - when the going gets tough you could cast highlander to support all ( mercs will do better )
DAMAGE AMPLIFIER - PROVOKING STANCE!!! people tend to forget this skill on bosses which is a NO NO it amplifies damage for the whole pt, add this up with your procs and FA = tons of damage ( mercs will do great, icestack will be good amplifiers thus this part is to ADD UP ALL THE POSSIBLE DAMAGE AMPLIFICATION possible )
DAMAGER - FA what else? FINISH ATTACK!!!! ( our boss killer )

GROUP PVP:

Sad to say but our forte goes for solo 1v1 pvp more than group pvp, perhaps the only way to be useful in group pvp is to hunt off remaining people or isolate some of them and kill them yourself, besides that a gladiator could be a semi tank in using parry stance for group pvp then inflicting heavy impact states or cancelling other peoples skill but we got to admit that a gladiators role in group pvp is the least important amongst other classes...bottom line you get to irritate the other team by moving around dash comboing eclipse cancellation just dont be the main target lol.
