both can tank imho, its just that guardians are more to the defensive side compared to our brother crusaders

AFAIK know GDN and YDN is all about DPS so crux weighs more than guardian if were only talking about dragon nest raids.

But when Prof. K and Typhoon Nest comes or future CAP nest comes guardians will shine again.

As long as you can provoke, have DA, decent level of block, SOF, you're good to go. Don't forget your equips too!

For GDN, doesnt matter you Guardian or Crusader, as long as you have offensive build and not the pure tank one like SDN, you are welcomed well, since you going to DPS more than tank.

For DDN, well, seeing the first exploration party, they prefer Guardian for phy att sake since elemental attack are nerfed badly there, not sure about the discrimination there tho.

Guardian Force will be useful in both nest because of the storms of monsters there, though the DPS output of Guardians might be a little lower than Crusaders, I still prefer a well geared Guardian in both nest.

Discrimination doesnt seem to exist in their servers...

On-Topic : About DDN Crus is still seem to be more preferred over Guardian from what I have seen... although both really doesnt matter when it comes to needing a MT... the parties do take in either of the class anywayz... but let's see how it goes when the exploration parties proceed further...

not discrimination per se... but they have preferred classes... when equally geared they will choose some classes over the others... but if its guild raid not much problems...

and its also dependent on the raid... nest really has not much problem in other server so long as you know how to dodge...

As far as the exploration team is going, they are saying that guardian will be a better choice for DDN. But that's the future of the future, so don't worry. It's not about the ability to deal more physical damage or so... it's the ability to tank more

The thing is very straight when you consider the mechanism, the HP of bosses going down very slow and damage of bosses in DDN, AND SOF EX It will make Guardian near invisible as the autoblock, block, DA, SOF EX are rotated near perfect, making less vunerable time for the MT.

If you cannot kill fast, you need to be the man of steel XD

But, since no pt cleared DDN yet, let's rest well and see how the faith of crusaders turning ^^!

the good in gdn that we crusaders have the skill of conviction aura that can support all light dps dealers like priest in more than 50% more and that will be handy u know, while guardians have the elemental aura that helps our fellow friend sorceress deals more elemental dps and thats very handy also, so i can say they are both good in nesting and more useful if this two blessed class will combine every party that runs gdn ddn and also sdn.

If DDN requires a lot of tanking than DPSing, then Guardian it is for sure. Especially with their new SOF EX. But if it's like GDN which requires the team to DPS a lot, I'm guessing Crusaders will get the upper hand.

equips really matter on this topic... lets say 1 guardian with uber equips (max fd, 15k crit, 10k patk) or 1 crusader with uber equips too ( max fd, 50%+ light, 15k crit), ill take them both


maybe for 1st few weeks, choosing guardian will be safer for an exploration party

are you a crusader? most crusaders have those auras maxed.
but don't forget that you cannot use el aura and conviction aura at the same time.
having a crusader and a guardian on a raid makes 2 auras active,
giving the party light and fire/ice def -- light and fire/ice attack boost for saint/inqui and saleana/elestra repectively.
not to mention healing and tanking capabilities. you will be overwhelmed by the waves of mobs in GDN or other future nests,
so although MT's are not needed, it doesn't mean that you don't need tanks. MT's and tanks may have a little difference in the context of their functionality. tanks keep DPS team from taking a lot of damage from waves of mobs and give them a chance
to use their skills 100% effectively without having the risk of their skills being canceled by waves of mobs or even dying co'z let say for example that 20-40 mobs piing up on 3-4 DPS members and not even 2 healers wouldn't be able to keep up with the damage.

as long as a pala that noe wat to do it will be ok, its not like ur pala gona do some speed run for hardcore anyway.

no matter wat class, as long as the user sux, the class will sux as usual.
