So, hard to control, but I read somewhere that if you master them, Blade Dancers are the stronger subclass?
Blade Dancer has a bit of iframe and SA here and there, but their skill execution is not as nimble as Spirit Dancer. Although having said that, I think Spirit Dancer isn't a combo class like Acro. It will feel like a BM due to mid-range skills and some pause on chaining the skills.

Somehow the subclasses gives the impression of:

BD - SM and ACRO
SD - SM and BM
DS - ACRO and FU
SE - FU and EL

Since I'm making a dancer, I focused on these 2:

BLADE DANCER- Close-ranged, high damage, long CD's (PVP/PVE)

SPIRIT DANCER- Mid-ranged with AOE, Descent Damage, low CD's (PVP/PVE)

For the Screamer, Dark summoner will not be so effective in PVE since most mobs have dark resist so I suggest the Soul Eater.

Screamer - sultry, smexy voice acting for screamer skills
Dark Summoner - awesome looking skills, restricted dmg due to prevalent dark resist.
Soul Eater - more popular in cDN now in both pve and pvp due to the myriad of debuffs you can put on the target. (this is the class i played in cDN, since my friend's english patch isn't complete and mistakenly chose SE instead of DS)

Dancer - sounds like an airhead when casting skills compared to screamer
Spirit Dancer - simple to play, fast cd, good damage, large AoE
Blade Dancer - for combo freaks. High skill values but very long cast time, so you have to be good at timing the skills otherwise you end up cancelling midway and cutting your dmg. According to some cDN sources blade dancer can kill any char in ladder with an uninterrupted full combo once she cools down all her skills. (oo)

in my case, the playstyle of screamer is too cluttered. It takes 9 skills for a soul eater to just setup for the big burst damage that they're potent with, but i fear that Spirit Dancer is a bit too simple (her gameplay reminds me of adepts)

Decisions decisions...

Their aoe of skills, damage make them pretty good for pve but not indispensable in raids IMO.

How do you know it's only 2 weeks? They said April, not April 1st. :)

Hmm I don't like having a cluttered skill bar, so no Soul Eater for me, Darkness is out too. So maybe I will stick with Blade/Spirit Dancer.

What are the main differences between Blade and Spirit Dancer? Does anyone know?

Darkness turn me off too for Dark Screamer. I really like the agility of her.

To sum it up:

Blade Dancer :
- Close range attacker
- Attacks involve a lot of spinning (like it matters... but it's true, all blade dancer skill tree have spinning movement)
- Have a bit more SA and iframe than Spirit Dancer (Elegance Storm's SA, Twinkle Spin's iframe, Refreshing Screw iframe, Gust Dimensia SA)
- Long casting on high damage skills (Elegance Storm and Gust Dimensia).
- 30% crit boost upon the periodical buff
- EXs provide 30% more speed on the skills.

Spirit Dancer :
- Mid-range attacker
- Use spirit to attack
- Shorter execution time compared to Blade Dancer
- 15% speed boost upon periodical buff,
- EXs provide explosion to float the target

Eh. Looks pretty low to me. Only the level 32 skills have impressive damage, the other ones are just... meh. ~300% to 500% multiplier isn't really impressive enough to take over the top DPS classes.

i don't know if what people are telling about screamer have actually played that class. contrary to them, i have a lvl 60 soul eater in cdn from way back in december and i have always taught that soul eater=pve while dark summoner=pvp. soul eater have more dps and have debuffs, soul gate ex is op and can even deal more dmg than their lvl 2 ulti. on the other hand dark summoner have lower dps and all of the skills in their skill tree DOESN'T have any debuffs. on the pvp side, DS is easier to play, DS' skills are instant and have large aoe. on the other hand SE's skills are not instant and requires aiming. that's why when i played SE in pvp, most of the time, i start initiating combos with DS skills (it's easier to catch enemies with DS' skills since it's instant) and continue comboing with SE's skills (skills are not instant, but it's good in chaining combos)

to quote what someone in cdn who played dark summoner and become 1 of the top 10 in ladder:

Quote

Actually, yes...#2 and #3 are soul eaters. I took Dark Summoner based on the skill descriptions, but I can tell you that both of the advancements are good in PVP. The soul eaters bird ex hits like a truck, and curses on top of that...the snakes ex makes the skill useful, since they bind the enemy for two seconds. In the Dark Summoner's case, the 4 hands ex allows you to juggle people better, because hand #3 and #4 launch opponents, and the uppercut ex provides a "slap down", which you can use to add additional damage, or to have another shot at disabling the opponent if you missed the first one. When the job change scroll for kali comes out, I will give soul eater a try, and see for myself how powerful the bird ex is.
I think it all boils down to your play style...if you depend on your skills to juggle opponents, go dark summoner; if you have good aim and like more burst damage, go soul eater. Kali is super OP anyway...you can't go wrong with any :)

and another one:

Quote

The next popular class is the new kali class: Dark Summoner. The other class class, Soul Eater is equally popular with only a difference of 1% difference in population. Since this is a new class, many players from SEA and NA joined DN CN to try out and experience the gameplay of this new char which is not yet released in their versions. Its long term popularity in PVE is still unknown since kali has yet to found a unique and definitive role in raid party, aside from being a typically buffer or debuffer (they are not the best in either). However, recent test by duowan has shown that kali is actually one of the best DPS class in-game, being on equal footing as artillery. Needless to say, Kali classes are also fearsome opponents in PVP, and partly contributes to its popularity in Freedom. With the release of Desert Dragon Nest, will Kali become one of the staple classes in dragon nest raid? We shall see ^_^

Don't forget the almost-perma 50/60% boost from Illusion/Breeze call dance.
