Please have mercy on our eyes and add a background to the forum and/or make it possible to choose which colour scheme we would like to view the forum in. Since everyone has different preferences. (If that option already exists please tell me how to get there, cuz I couldn't find it T^T)

Having everything in white gets painful and to be honest it makes the forum look a bit unfinished.

Personally I could settle on not having a new background picture with every major update like we used to but please give us something in the background with a darker colour that enables our eyes to rest a bit.

I so agree. ;_;
I would really love some settings preferences like those.

Just like you are saying, everyone likes other colours or some want to be creative and decorate theur profile or forums as much as they want. I doubt it's here as I, myself can't find it. T_T

Let's just hope that with the future everything will turn out to be good.

+1. I second this. This skin is way too bright and hurting my eyes. I'd personally like to have a darker forum-skin.

It's not a perfect solution but you can use this FF Addon
https://addons.mozil...olor-that-site/

To easily change the colorpalette of the website to your preference.
You can change The Background Color to a nice dark grey and lighten up the foreground colors like fonts to make it readable on the dark backgrounds.

Just be sure to check under "settings" the "use on whole domain" checkbox.

I don't use fire fox.
A also don't see the reason why I would have to be forced to use add ons to be able to use the forum without my eyes starting to hurt.
I don't think that an average player would research how to change the forum to their liking either. They would simply think that the forum sucks and not use it.
Having an ugly forum also reflects badly on the game itself.
It's important for people to be able to instantly feel at home on the forum, first impressions matter a lot. Posted Image

It's a temporal solution so the forums are at least usable.

Here's an Addon for Chrome that's doing the same.

Yes I agree completely, most of us DN players can't handle the sunlight and you give us a completely white background, what were you thinking?! MY EYES, THEY BURN!

As game-publishers always seems to be lazy about changing anything to their forum layouts, until they do something I'll share an alternative I quickly did.
It's pretty simple and requires only 5 steps (and is easy to disable at any moment) :

• First you need to install the plugin "Userstyles" related to your browser : Firefox - Chrome - Safari - Opera

not sure if the picture will help as it's in french, but can still help to visualize :

Posted Image

1. click on the plugin button Posted Image
2. Create a new style sheet  > empty sheet
3. Copy/paste this in the blank area, give it a name, and save :

@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);
@-moz-document domain("forum.cherrycredits.com")
{
html{background-color: black;}

#ipbwrapper
{
background-image: url('http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/11/1458345969-forum-background.jpg');
background-position: center;
background-attachment: fixed;
background-color: black;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}

.CSS1Compat, .cke_show_borders{background-color: #f7f7f7;}
}

4. Give it a name, then save it and you're done ! (You still can edit it via your browser's plugin manager)

5. Have fun !

Note : I couldn't find back the older backgrounds of the EU forum so the picture link is the last one we got and putted it on a mirror.
You're free to edit it at your will, juste replace the link with the new one once your new picture is ready. :)
(http://image.noelsha...55007-sheet.png)

Note² : you can disable the active sheet at any moment by hitting the plugin's icon and unchecking the sheet shown with the name you previously gave to it.

Picture of how it will look after :

This is great! Ty for sharing. I'll ask around, maybe we can get some more of the old forum backgrounds ^-^

Btw for me the code had to look like this:

Quote

@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);

html{background-color: black;}

#ipbwrapper
{
background-image: url('http://image.noelsha...-background.jpg');
background-position: center;
background-attachment: fixed;
background-color: black;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}

.CSS1Compat, .cke_show_borders{background-color: #f7f7f7;}

That's probably due to your browser, but doesn't it apply a black background to all the websites you visit, that way ?
Because the "@-moz-document domain" was supposed to point out when/where the sheet should be active o:
At least since the "ipbwrapper" is something used only by ipb forums, you will only encounter problems when browsing other ipb forums. :3

Nah it doesn't, maybe because I had to choose what site I wanted it for on the bottom.
It might differ a bit between the different browsers ^-^

Just did this and I'm a google chrome user I had to change things a bit and resulted in this

Quote

@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);

#ipbwrapper
{
background-image: url('http://image.noelsha...-background.jpg');
background-position: center;
background-attachment: fixed;
background-color: black;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}

.CSS1Compat, .cke_show_borders{background-color: #f7f7f7;}

I also had the change the part where it says "URLs starting with" to this link instead
