Heya there. ^-^
I may not be a sorceress player but I have played on her a lot in the past so I think I can help with giving you a brief explenation about her.

She specializes in medium-range attacks. Of course you need to learn about your range with each attack as they vary. They have a big AoE which helps with crowd control and despite their low defence their attack power output is high.

Your main weapon is a wand/staff and your secondary can be eaither a book, orb or puppet. Of course all of them do something different for you:
Book - Mana regeneration
Orb - Additional magic attack power and critical rate
Puppet - Increases maximum mana

At level 15 you can either decide if you want to be an Elementalist or Arcanist:
Elementalist - as the name says, she focuses on using elements which are fire and ice. Which makes you able to inflict ailments upon your foes. Unfortunately, many of their skills cause them to stand still most of the time, leaving them vulnerable to enemy attacks which for an unexperienced player may leave you with no HP. You can freeze your enemies which makes them unable to move for a short amount of time. (unless you spam your ice attack) or burn them and have them under burning debuff non stop.
https://youtu.be/biTS-76aPCo

Arcanist - She focuses on the force of gravity as well as cosmos which makes them able to create black holes to crush their enemies. She has very useful skills like Time stop and Force mirror which sets up an unbreakable barrier in front of you and increases the magic damage your enemies will take. They don't have many offensive skills as an Elementalist but they still can inflict high damage on their enemies with switch gravity. She can either use normal attacks or dark based attacks.
https://youtu.be/VewHYV5-CHo

At level 45 we move on to your last specialisation:
Of course as you must of expected Elementalist can choose between Seleana who loves to burn her enemies. https://youtu.be/nfJt_KiGz9M
and Glaciana which is based on ice attacks and freezes everyone on the battlefield.
https://youtu.be/EEPcjgMb1co

Arcanist is divided between Obscuria and Illumia.
Obscuria focuses on gravity and dark attack. Great at crowd control and far range attacks with her gravity balls or black hole. https://youtu.be/1J-OVceehxo

Illumia likes to focus on lasers as I like to call it. She is a neutral element and uses lights to decimate her enemies. She may not be a user of dark magic but she is purely focuses in DPS.
https://youtu.be/ZXEHHqL4iqk

Of course it's your sole choice who you want to go for. All of them have a different gameplay because of the skills and ranges. But After time you will get used to the specialisation you have choosen. Posted ImageI have played on a Glaciana and Obscuria and have played on my friends Illumia and I found them all enjoyable. I hope I was able to help with a mini guide and you will be able to choose and play on the specialisation you mostly enjoy.

Essentially

S Tier DPS atm = Sele but it's getting nerfed soon down to A Tier but still completely viable.
A Tier = Illumia which gets buffed soon as light element is added to skills.
Obs/Glaci = A/B Tier still good picks but not as strong as the above two.  I think Glaci gets a slight buff soon.

For raids the best classes for damage output (as support side of Sorc is gone now (BT is self buff and Ice stacks got a huge nerf)) would be Sele then Illumia but honestly anything can work.

Until we get ice dragon there's no real reason to be too picky.

Don't go for higher damage, go for what you mostly enjoy playing as. c: If you gear her properly then you have nothing to worry about.

I bet there is lots of time before we get an Ice dragon. Everything is delayed after all. Even machina.

Every sorceress is easy and (very) strong in pvp now so you should be fine in that regard :v Personally I like elementalists more but if you want to be extra disgusting and spam your op af exi in pvp you should go for an arcanist.

So true, but oh so true. The time stop can surely be a... e.e in pvp.

Not that all, Im a Sorceress User, and I can tell you some things about this wonderfull class

If you are looking for movility and you are looking for a simple gameplay you can choose the Force User (Arcanist)
But if you are looking for more damage, the Elementalist if what you are looking for.

But to be honest, the Arcanist have low super armor, this means that the boss can cancel your skills with one hit. And the Elementalist have more super armor with some skills and her elemental shield (Fire/Ice Shield).

Well in any case, I tell you that what ever you will choose I'll hope you really like your sorceress, I'm a Elestra (Glaciana) user since 40 lvl cap on Dragon Nest Sea xD. Well I really like Ice Skills more than Fire hahahahah.

This is MINE Skill Build for PVE https://dnmaze.com/e...0---0--00--00-- Fire skills for filler and Phoenix Storm for Elemental Reduction.

And this other one if you won't max fireball Skill Build  I was thinking on the Elestra Boost when I made my skill build, I really prefer this one, still with fire skills for filler n.n.

Idk how you find time to cast fire spells when your ice spells has so short cd that u can spam them all time (If u have Glacial Wave and Shatter)

If you don't know, Shatter have super armour break... Can be helpful sometimes.

And no that all, ice skills don't have a low cd if we are talking of raid. Well is my skill build and I really like it because is my Elestra gameplay. :D.

To be honest, i tested both skills situation, and the better option it's with fire skills. Only ice skills is not will be helpful now because ice skills don't have "low cd"

Hmm, I think we are playing other games because my ice skills has low cd (:D) (ofc not all of them, but most). Even w/o glacial wave, glacial spike, shatter and poison missiles I could almost spam skills all-time, so with them in build I have to ignore some skills.

The skills with most damage have high CD. Like Freezing Field, Freezing Spikes and Chilling Mist. Low CD: Frozen Spikes, Glacial Spike for example, and freezing field instant, if frost wind hit an enemy reduce cd of freezing field.

Our INS 7 sec cd, Freezing Field 15 sec cd, freezing spikes 13 sec cd, icy spikes 9 sec cd.
The only spells with high cd is Chilling Mist and Ice Sphere.

Anyway, its your choice to use fire spells. But when they revamp ice barrier, I think you will need a skill reset (tense)

She's pretty bad and underused at the moment.
