Newbie Sting Breezer here.
Is there anyone with hybrid pve/pvp build mind sharing their skillbuild? For 1v1 pvp
Or can someone help to answer my few question?

1. Hornet Touch. Is high level Hornet Touch recommended for pve to lower its cooldown since it is the only skill that can cancel the animation of Poking Beehive to avoid myself get caught in boss attack?

2. Spinning Swing. Is it useful in pvp? I have seen some pvp video of Sting Breezer use it for the right click version (is it because it has high sab?)

3. Spear Hand. Should I leave it at 1 or raise it to 16? I rarely pay attention to its damage in pve though since I only use it for exploding the Piercing Spikes. Is it worth to level up it for pvp?

Is this alright?

Hi, to answer the questions:

1. High level hornet touch is highly recommended in PVE and deal decent damage, can help a lot in critical situation with lower cd. as for pvp it's better to leave it at lv 1. imo u can allocate cross cut to lv 6 and give the rest to hornet for hybrid

2. Spinning Swing damage is now quite high in pvp, but u need aspd plate to make it useful. Rarely anybody use it in PVE as SB, so just lv 1 is enough for hybrid.

3. Spear Hand deal decent damage so better keep it max or 16, it depends on your play style for pvp but I still keep high level Spear hand as it's one of the good luring/catching skill from SB tree.

I would still recommend dual skill build for SB because the skill utility is dif from pvp and pve, another things to add:

-fling-fling is optional to be maxed, it's certainly useful in pvp but the damage dif is not that high, imo its better allocate some points to spearhand for hybrid.
-why champagne lvl only 2 (tense)  add 1 point only it make great dif

Its just my personal opinion, but hopefully this helps

1. Yep hornet touch all the way, put the cross cutter and the one below it to 6 i'm pretty sure it'll be handy in pvp

2. Yes the sa and sab is really high, only use the right click version.

3. I am not sure about fling2 myself it does reduce tons of cd but pvp wise it is not usefull it can be comboed but it still decent compared our spear hand.

1. yep higher lvl of hornet is really useful in pve due to the cd reduction. leave cross cut at 6 and spend the sp from it on hornet

2. when i still had spin swing its quite good for sustaining combos, the left click is particularly usefull for cd stall when the opponent has exhausted all their evasions

3. maxed+1 spear hand deals around 8~12k on comp on, but can deal hax dmg in ladder if u're geared enough, i sometimes hit 100k+ lmao. if u're only using it for detonating PS its sufficient to put only 1, but... only beehive detonation works for pvp. in pve though, i can hit around 30m~50m.

i think fling2 has no cd reduction per lvl for pvp, but for pve its 13s and i sometimes use it for dmg instead of escape/mobility, since the dmg when maxed is quite good

i dont think rushing blade has any use for sb... its dmg is shiit and so is its sa

I find it kinda hard to aim at mobile boss in pve so I mainly use it for the buff and it doesn't increase with its level. I was planning to make it level 1 only. Or should I be more familiar with boss movement and raise it to level 3?

I thought it could be an utility skill for quick action to stagger foe after avoiding an attack using tumble. I might consider dropping it then.

What about Hovering Blade? I rarely run out of skill to use in pve and I saw fellow forumers said it was good for wall bounce. Does it need to be 16 or 1? I have tried pvp using SB but I am having hard time to make use of Hovering Blade.

butt.. but.. 100k ish considered godly for sb (sob)

for pvp purposes... imo hovering blade is trash... it only hits 3 digit dmg per hit. combined with buggy arcane focus and nerfed afterimage duration, theres little use for it.

i have yet to achieve wall bounce with it tho so i wouldn't know... but its fine to drop it i guess..

The class need boost so bad imo even flurry rough sweep could deal 240 (120k crit) in ladder (oo;)
i remember hitting 400k with skewer once (clap)

For the Ulti I suggest u get familiar with boss movement and its much easier to land compared to PS+SH+PB combo, the damage itself is not too bad with only 2 additional sp point.

Rushing blade is quite useful connecting skill so just take lv 1, especially for 1v1 fight.

for pvp, you can drop hovering blade since it's buggy as hell and duration nerfed badly, not to mention the damage sux. It still can be used for combo / wall bounce with right click but imo I rather invest in another skill

(oo) Buggy Arcane Focus. What is the bug of Arcane Focus?
Btw, does Arcane Focus hit knockdown target?

I see. Then, I shall increase the skill level of Champagne and get familiar with boss.

Thank you all for answering (<3)

its the afterimage redirecting that is bugged, which has a chance to just disappear and do nothing. but then AF itself sometimes hits but doesnt deal dmg, only applying the debuff

I dunno if this is still on topic about skill build (i'm new here) but let me share some info about arcane:

From what i observe, arcane focus hit knockdown opponent but they tend to be "late" in the damage calculation, so most of the time will only give debuff and no redirect of afterimage because the delay let the knockdown opponent i-frame on ground thus nullified the effect of arcane focus. Unless there's something that keep them from getting i-framed on ground such as dent-blow / hovering, or the opponent struggle to get up so they wasted their own i-frame.

Using arcane on airborne or dashing opponent is almost useless because of "lateness", on the other hand it work best with staggered or immobile opponent.

Worst part is if there's even slightly bad connection either u or your opponent, arcane will messed up badly and do nothing. So all we can do for now is use it wisely.

You can wall bounce with it actually. Though mostly for style points...

Using it's right click function to wall bounce and Deep Pierce to get close and re-lift with skills like Lollipop or Flash lift(Fling Fling can be used and it's actually way better but since you can't use it while doing an action...).

But yeah, overall the whole skill is pretty much trash in PvP LOL
