Whats the best skill rotation for snipers now?
Last i checked (2 months ago i think) was the one markbelats posted
Siege right click > siege shower > siege right click > siege CS and repeat till 20 bubbles then flower sylph camo and double WS.
My sniper has like 292k patk, 55% dark and 4.2k FD but only capping around 80m dps in TG ._.

I don't think DN classes have any skill rotation, just spam and priortise the correct skill.

Some stuff you can do to increase dps on the rock: (not really legit dps anymore but most ppl does it)
Start with bubbles
Try to end the meter/rock with windshot, so your dps will spike up before u take the ending ss.
Run till most (or all) windshot have crit break, might need multiple tries

With your gears, 100m+ should be very easy. Also the boss have too little hp for Ren lols, he just burst it during sylph aid duration, rip rock. If u are able to kill it before sylph aid ends, ur dps will be very high since only burst dps is counted.

Would it be better to test without having 20 bubbles to show actual relative dps? From what I heard having the bubbles before hand is quite significant and not usually available in actual raids. In short doing this for golem creates a false Dps measurement not relative to other classes.

Wait, why is having full bubbles not usually available? You just get full bubbles inside GTS then go do the nest?

Do you do this before every boss? Like make your party wait while you collect bubble? Wouldn't it be faster to just proceed?

The sniper we ran with never stopped us for this before

Also using full bubbles for a short bursts make the Dps go up high for the golem due to limited hp but in the long run is that same dps sustainable across the run?

Sniper can only accumulate bubble from hitting Siege Stance left/right click.
So I doubt you can do that in GTS.

Ok, so pretty tricky to hit max bubble count then. Sorry, don't have much knowledge of Sniper but other classes I have played with the bubble mechanic, I just spam like 3 skills that generate bubbles and the skills that do generate bubbles don't even have a long CD.
Wasn't sure about Sniper but for example ML, because it's really easy to always stay topped up in bubbles.

I don't know the specifics but it can be done in Gts. Takes around 2-3 mins to get max bubble tho.

Didn't know that it's possible, but yea.. Might as well do it inside the nest..

"Would it be better to test without having 20 bubbles to show actual relative dps" erm...what do you mean actual relative dps? I agree with Astelie that the golem obviously doesnt have enough HP in my case, but the dps is "actual" enough in that same scenario that everyone has, which is this 5b HP golem...unless you can provide me with maybe a 30b hp golem? XD

"Not available in actual raids" you can always stack it in GTS before running any nest/raid..so no comments here...and no..i dont make my team wait for me to stack it...i make sure its stacked before proceeding to any subsequent boss...

"In short doing this for golem creates a false Dps measurement not relative to other classes." Its not even meant to be used for comparison...but it is probably inaccurate because my burst duration didnt end yet (but the golem already died due to low HP so yea...)

Do note that i still have 10 bubbles remaining after the golem's death as my rotation comprises of stacking it to 20 for every burst... so..no..i didnt intentionally end it with a windshot..but it just happened to die to a windshot (4 hits from it so i dont know how "inflated" that can get...prolly could have ended higher if i didnt take the time to charge that windshot and only use 4 hits from it)

I never make my party wait for me, but usually I always have over 10 bubbles, often 20 collected while standing in garden waiting for people, so I don't see why it's not fair. Unless it is an instant rerun where I can at most get only 6~7 bubbles before boss spawns, I've never found myself having less than 15 bubbles at the time of boss spawn in IDN without ever having asked my party to wait for me. So I think it's quite alright.

Ren, I agree that the display is not an actual comparison between classes but this is true more so because you are overgeared. Using weaker gears allow several skill rotations and would display a more sustainable Dps throughout a run. Because your char is overgeared for the golem, you were unable to even complete one rotation. My intentions were not to question the purpose of doing this but rather about whether the values obtained from this test actually reflects run Dps. While snipers show extremely high dps here, equally geared snipers may be overtaken by weaker geared gladiators despite the glads displaying less dps against the golem.

About the bubbles, if a sniper can sustain 20 always and that bubbles are not so much a limiting factor in runs, then I have no qualms about that ^^

Question: Do you think a similarly geared Tempest can match a dps of a sniper given Snipers have cheating point boosting their FD value? Thanks for your answers!

P.S. Currently have 37% FD value on my Sniper. Planning to change job..
