I've been playing as a Saleana for quite some time since 93 cap arrived. I wanted to help my guild mates clearing dungeons and nests alike. However, I wanna know investing in this class is actually worth it in terms of DPS. How does it fare alongside "known" DPS classes like Glad, or Raven?

I wouldn't mind playing a class "because someone told me to", for the sole reason of me wanting to help my team. Do you guys think that a Sally would be a solid class to use? Or should I change class/job to something else?

I appreciate the answers in advance guys! Please help out a very confused player. (sob) (sob) (sob)

every class have pros and cons its self, sale is good enough for pve, you just need to know more and make her powerfull by gearing up and know nest mech etc. that would be more helpfull to your teammate /guildmate/friends.

I think have. But tbh even if its removed. Idnl should give more than enough crit.
I rmb there was a video of a sally whacking idn abyss and his dps was 400m.

It's not about crit actually. Hellfire is a pre awakening passive which gives 30% additional damage as long as target is burnt from the ele skill tree. However it was removed from the skill tree when awakening was released. The problem in sea is that the awakening didn't come with a reset and the skills were simply removed. This led to some sal and eles still having hellfire which boosts their dps by 30% flat. This is one of the reasons some of the sal in sea are very strong.

Oh wow wtf? Means the hellfire effect is still active just that the skill logo is removed from the skill tree? Wow.. Thats some op **** bug right there. God.. No wonder i recall seeing a sally hit 280m constantly in idn.

Wow. No wonder some Saleanas have an enormous gap to what I have. I have a newly created Saleana so I don't have that boost. >.< However, you guys definitely did inspire me to play harder as a Saleana and bring out the best of it.

If there was no ninja hellfire then would Saleana be a bad class then? >.<

It's still good tbh. Fast cast skills, decent balanced damage in skills. There are many worse classes out there :)

That makes me wonder, how far is Adept in terms of DPS from Saleana (since this is a fire thread)?

Won't include Ripper since TS seem not fond of chasers.

I'd say sal is around 80-95% of an adept depending on playstyle of both. Hellfire sal are on par or higher than adept by a  small margin (10%-20%) from my recent raid experience as an Adept.

I would say on par.
Its just that there are lesser geared sallies than adept in the current field, so sallys are neglected.
Get me a max fd sally with full idnl , i can show u 400m dps no problem.

crow and werewolf is a good investment. I can roughly foresee those classes will be top when they get awakening.

Not trying to exaggerate but this is what a sally can do.
