Welcome ~

This thread contains information about some (post-Awakening) Kali skills that deal noticeable damage, their co-eff breakdowns and some extra stuff.

Some points to note before going further:
  • For individual co-effs shown below (in Screamer, DS and SE sections);
When the symbol "+" is used to separate hits, it implies the hits are cast by themselves. And when the symbol "|" is used to separate hits, it implies the caster needs to press either Normal or Special Attack Button to cast those hits.

  • Only the Skill Co-Efficients and Information for relevant* Kali 2nd and 3rd Specialization skills have been calculated because I'm too lazy to calculate every skill's co-effs.

  • For "Screamer" and "Dancer" skills (i.e., non-EX skills) only the ones worth using for respective classes have been calculated.**
  • Not calculating "DPS" as the values will differ because of CD skill heraldries as well as CD reduction from various skills (as well as if there's a Sorceress in the party).
Click any of the following to go directly to that section:

* Not going to calculate co-effs for damage-wise useless skills, i, e.; Blitz Claw, Phantom's Rage, Sinia Turn, Mist Step, etc.

** For example; Beast Spirit and Soul Gate are worth using for DS while Cling Snake is not, likewise Chain Claw and Rampage Claw might be worth using for SE while Revenge Hand is not anymore.

Credits to:

rikorelo for helping with finding information for Soul Eater.
Xenocho for calculating the values for Blade Dancer.
FirePhoenix for calculating the values for Spirit Dancer.

Blade Dancer

Posted Image

Additional Information about skills:
  • Twinkle Spin
Has iframe on the spinning-in-air part. Does not have any iframe on the extra hit of the EX skill which is cast by pressing Normal Attack Button.
  • Deadly Drill
After diving in front, the duration while the Kali is spinning while moving forward is iframed.

When using Deadly Drill EX Instant, she will start off spinning while moving forward, in iframe.

Deadly Drill can be cast mid-air by pressing Space Bar, but it does not have iframe when cast mid-air. Can be cast by pressing Space Bar during the jumping part of Twinkle Spin, Squall Flaker, Abolisher and Mist Step > Special Attack Button.

Despite having all the extra features and EX Instant, Deadly Drill is also a useless skill.
  • Hurricane Gust EX
The first 16 hits are slower, and the final 8 hits of the skill are concentrated in a very short time-frame, cancelling the skill early can reduce it's total damage by over 33%.

Can cast skill by pressing Normal Attack Button while casting Twinkle Spin.
  • Squall Flaker
Initial turning action has Iframe.
Can be cast by pressing Space Bar during any other skill, thus cancelling the on-going skills. Only exception is when the player presses Space Bar while in air, in which case the Kali will use Deadly Drill. Also if Deadly Drill is on cooldown, she won't use any skill until she lands on ground.
  • Blade Step
Full iframe from the moment of casting till the end of skill animation
  • Inner Fire
The Kali will be in Super Armour state upon initiating the skill and the iframe begins only when she disappears and starts hitting the target. The iframe ends right after the Kali's body is visible again, so be careful when the skill begins and ends.

You can also directly start attacking instead of charging forward by pressing the Normal Attack Button after casting Inner Fire.

Additional information about skills:
  • Praetor
Can cast other skills or tumble away after casting Praetor, it'll still continue casting by itself.
  • Crushing Hammer
Skill is fully iframed from the moment of cast till she lands back on ground.
  • Acanthus
Wait till the Kali turns completely and you can see the spirit, casting another skill quickly after casting Acanthus will result in cancelling it.
  • Storm of Ewiniar
The Kali will be in Super Armour state upon initiating the skill and the iframe begins only when the Storm Spirit appears. The iframe ends with the final hit, even though the skill animation goes on momentarily, so be careful when the skill begins and ends.

I'm going to test out all SD and BD skills myself as well. Was going to finish it today at noon but suddenly had fever and passed out etc so RIP to that. The only problem was that I'm not sure of SE EX and Awakened skills, though I got help from a couple friends and the link riko gave, so thanks for that. Will try and finish it by tonight.

To do the second throw, you need to press the normal attack button, yes. The difference between the Awakened SoP EX and SoP EX is that the Awakened deals 2 hits instead of one when the target is branded.

Thanks.

Done with SE section, can you double check the description for SoP and the board damage of the [Awakened] skills, because sometimes those skills' damage are raised and maybe don't show in the sim.

Done for now, do tell me if you guys think anything should be changed/added/removed or if you want a spreadsheet for DS and SE skills, though it'll take some time to do most likely.

To be honest zuyi the spoiler tags make it troublesome to read all at once. Why put spoiler tags? Just feed them a wall of txt LOL (no shame)

Anyway I think put as a table will make it easy to compare skills like how FirePhoenix and I did

I personally feel like DS DPS is higher than SE but hey I'm biased towards DS since I started playing.

Anyway, from a DPS perspective, DS might be better and their burst is very high because they can cast some high damaging DoT skills and then cast other skills while those are going on but then again Soul Liberation total board is very weeeeew too.

But from a raid perspective, in every single case except one where the DS does more than 50-60% damage in the run, SE would undoubtedly be the better choice because their own DPS is not really low at all, and then they add curse debuff which affects every single person's damage as well.

Anyway I think put as a table will make it easy to compare skills like how FirePhoenix and I did

Removed the spoilers.

I'm thinking of making a spreadsheet as well, but wanted to write a descriptive for Screamers first because the damage of their skills depends a lot on understanding how the skills work. I'll make a table for both shortly (but only include branded co-effs, etc.)

On a side note, I need to stop using commas every 4 words... give myself cancer every post I make (oo;)
