i don't know if this topic already exist, i try searching i can't find exact answer im looking for
(plus im lazy to look/search more) (tongueout)

i notice something when i creating skill build for my old smasher(that i need to max in future)
i read skill description of laser cutter ex i don't see any increase damage so that means the full laser cutter ex is EQUAL to regular laser cutter?

and back in my day when laser cutter ex didn't exist, if you got hit buy the laser cutter in pvp even just half of it you life will drain fast compare the laser cutter ex damage is now ignored
(who stupid enough to catch all laser cutter ex moving forward and back?) (oo;) even the chance for nest boss to catch all laser cutter ex is low

im also not fan of awaking so don't try bringing up laser cutter awakening

P.S. please be gentle

You already answered your question.. Laser Cutter EX returns, so it's not equal to just the normal laser cutter.

Theoretically yes. Use broken weapons to compare in battle ground and the result should be obvious.

Anyway I have a feeling you may be talking about the damage difference now and then in pvp. Is it?

oh i see (oo)
it kinda confusing because it didn't mention about the whole ex version is 2x
im thinking if not x2 that makes the regular better right?

nope im not like that i mention about it because i just remember the old laser cutter while im about to create the topic

It's pretty much the same as the old one though, just that it does come back now. So yes it is better due to potentially x2 damage.

The reason why it feels weaker now is due to laser cutter being a top Dps skill for smasher previously. However now there are many skills that can compare with the damage and hence, it feels weaker. Correct me if I'm wrong tho

Just to add on some info, this is extracted from Vaahneon's compilation: http://forum.cherryc...ara-skill-data/

Laser Cutter EX
Coefficient: 2.5
After the summoned laser explode, the laser will travel back and deal damage to enemies. Additional explosive damage + 50%.
Comment: Max hits raised from 12 to 25. The backward laser deals the same damage as the forward laser total of 24 hits for both lasers. The second laser does not explode afterwards. A downside is it takes more time to deal full damage now.

Since I did not test it myself, I won't guarantee this is 100% true.

Yes. It actually feels weaker compared to the newer skills. Plus, dealing full damage isn't easy hence why it feels weak given most bosses like to move around most of the time.

It's only good to use Laser Cutter EX if enemies are literally huge, or against a wall. Other than that I wouldn't recommend getting the awakened passive of the laser cutter as it's not reliable and a waste of bubbles during a rotation.
