where are you located? stores in malls tend to jack up their prices.

also, i haven't done the math, but the mechanical keyboard alone would probably cost you P2500+ while the 23" IPS monitor costs near P9000, if both brand new.

as for the other components, those are relatively old stuff. what will you use the PC for?

those specs are certainly good enough for Dragon Nest, as my pc has similar specs.

as for "other games" it depends on the game. for most online games and moba, that should be enough.

also, that monitor and keyboard seem to be premium items so it's quite a good deal for me if nothing's broken.

why is your neighbor selling it, though?

could you ask your neighbor what the specific model of the monitor and mechanical keyboard is and for how long he's been using them?

my feeling is that while it's an acceptable deal, i think you can do better. the video card and processor unfortunately are so old they are no longer available in the local market.

what i'm thinking is that if the guy can sell you the monitor and keyboard separately for around P10,000, maybe you can buy brand new PC parts for P10,000. haven't checked the math until you can answer, but it's an idea. brand new Asus 23" IPS monitor costs around P8000 while mechanical keyboards typically sell for a serveral thousand pesos depending on the brand.

both for only 7.5K? that's cheap. good deal.

my problem is the rest of the components. the processor and video cards as i have said are quite old but could still play many games.

if the monitor and keyboard are in good condition maybe if you can negotiate for 18,000 for all it's good. but if not, P20,000 i think is still acceptable if we take into consideration that the monitor and mech keyboard are good items.

if you wanna read about what's the recommended PC parts nowadays, click here: http://techreport.co...ch-2017-edition

PS my initial estimate was wrong. you'd need maybe around P20,000-25,000 for a new low end PC. sorry about that.

unfortunately, the mother board on which all other components like CPU and graphics card are attached is so old that newer CPUs won't fit, for one.

you can upgrade the video card, but the present CPU might be too slow it can't keep up.
