Hi everyone, I'm building a new gaming pc next week and I'm skeptical of getting a gtx1050ti. I will pair it with a 1080p 144Hz monitor and I am afraid if gtx1050ti can't push consistent 100+ fps in pve and 60+ fps in pvp in high settings.

I am an avid DN player since 40 cap and I don't play other games so gtx 1070 or 1080 is not an option.

Now, only one way to find out if 1050ti can perform in DN the way I wanted to be is to ask you guys to benchmark your gtx1050 ti and upload it somewhere and comment the link of the benchmark file here. Gtx1050 and gtx1060 3gb variant benchmark on DN is also welcome (6gb variant is outside of my budget).

You can use Fraps to benchmark your gtx1050ti in DN then go to Fraps' program file folder and you'll find the file with the benchmark results there. Fraps is a free software, you can google it.

the specs of my pc will be:
core i5 7400
gtx1050ti
8gb ddr4 ram

ps: I found a thread here talking about specs to play DN smoothly but it doesn't directly answer my question.

Thank you guys in advance, any input is highly appreciated. :)

Yeah when in town, fps spikes everywhere. But I bet you get 200+ fps in dungeons with that card, that is if you have 240hz monitor.

Are you sure the DN client itself is capable of such FPS? There were discussions regarding this previously, and most techy players conclude that the client itself is not capable of fully utilising the GPU's power.

That is also one thing I'd like to find out. Though I have seen my DN reach 300+ fps in colo area using my laptop with SLI gt650M card, but in low settings 720p and v-sync off, screen tearing and flicker everywhere which is a pain in the eyes. I also recall that someone posted a screenshot here with 300+ fps in ice dragon nest hc, I will search it.

Edit: Found the post with screenshot

but it's fun playing at 140+ fps (clap) (clap) (clap)

Although it is just 140+ fps and not 300+ fps (my bad) as I thought. It is still impressive and answers the question whether DN can output 100+ fps in high settings with the fact that DN is an old game which was released during the time that 144hz or even 75hz monitor doesn't exist yet. :)

I only do RuDN and i tell u the fps are as bad as before. Especially during s3 bar mech while reaching poison wall, im sure Xenocho knows what im talking about (:D)

I cant reach that, i have around 60/70 fps doing dungeons alone.

May I ask, what monitor are you using? Having 1080ti I am sure you have a high refresh rate gaming monitor but I'm just curios, maybe just maybe it's the culprit why your fps is so low in rudn.:)

lol, you ain't gonna get more than 40 in 8man raids. expect your fps to drop to 20ish even with a high end system.
hell i have a high end i7 and my fps doesn't stay consistent in raids.

1man dungeons can easily be 60fps butter smooth. but raids and towns, ugh.

Game is poorly optimized to take advantage of a high end gpu/cpu. halloween/christmas is awfull for places like the saint heaven gts

Nah it's capable I get +80 in dungeons and raids with a 650 ti

But, OP, most screens do not display over 60 FPS...

Hmmm. That's interesting. I have difficulty hitting 60 for raids. Especially if there are tons of smoke-like effects which create huge frame lag, something like elestra ice effect.

I Have a GTX 980TI Intel core I7 7700k 4k 144hz monitor

but even with a beast gaming setup i still get stutters and sometimes a dip from my fps (especially when i play with my friends and the god forsaken GOSAT CH.1)

So IMO no matter how strong and powerful your rig is you'll still get game lag (unless you're playing alone in a dungeon)
Blame Eyedentity games and their ****ty Unoptimized game engine

I usually got more stuttering when I set the texture quality to anything not "High".

Maybe you got the same problem?

I do set it to high actually. I've stopped trying to make the client smoother now.

I have 144hz monitor so it's capable of displaying up to 144fps as long as my card can push it.

Thank you for all the replies guys, your inputs made me decide to just settle with 1050 and not 1050ti or 1060, cheers!

the 1050Ti's extra video RAM could help you run other, more graphics intensive games, though. the more textures loaded, the more RAM is needed. but if you're mostly into DN and other not so demanding games, 1050 is enough.

900 series is garbage, that's your problem

Even old games and perfect ports of old games have issues only with 900 series
