What is Discord? Discord is a Voice over IP (VoIP) service similar to services such Skype, TeamSpeak, Ventrilo, Curse, RaidCall, etc., a voice chat and communication program made for gamers. More and more gamers have been introduced with the new platform over the past years and started using it within their guild or with friends. Registering a Discord account is very easy, and only takes a minute. Discord will run in your browser, on your desktop, and there's even a mobile app! It's important that we have a well-managed global server where everyone (including those from different regions of Dragon Nest) is welcome and where we can all join up and chat. Verification In order to identify who is who, we'll either stick to In Game Names (IGNs) and/or forum usernames. As long as your identity is not verified (e.g. matched with a player or forum user) you'll remain in a "unverified" group where your options will be limited, once verified you'll have access to more cool features! Once registered on Discord you'll have an ID (usually found at the bottom left of your screen, or when clicking on your name) with the following format: Code: name#number If you want to be verified, simply post up your ID in a comment below, or follow one of the other methods explained under #how-to-verify [SEA] [NA]. After being verified you will receive a nickname matching your character or forum username so that you're recognizable to others. While the Discord server is still open for suggestions on what we can do with it, there are several text channels for: #announcements, #news-updates, and #future-content updates #general discussion and #gameplay #party recruitment and #guild-recruitment #events #trading #colosseum (PvP) #support #off-topic #media #art more channels, helpful NPCs and guides, as well as a number of voice channels (come check out the Karaoke!) we hope to have a chat with you on!
