I have installed DN SEA on three other PCs with literally no issues at all.

However with my ASUS Laptop with an Intel i7, GTX1080 and 16gb RAM for whatever reason, I've tried 2 ways many times - using the Installer and using the ZIP file - of installing Dragon Nest SEA with uneven success.

After every "failed" installation, the resolution dropdown menu in Options will be blank. When I try to load the game, it will have an error "unable to create d3d device", followed by something like "preinitialization failed" (can't recall exactly now)

The ONE time I managed to get it work (out of more than a dozen tries, when I force-installed an older Nvidia driver) the Resolution dropdown menu appears and the game loads. However, it is abysmally slow and laggy.

What else can I try to fix this? Thanks in advance.

First update Geforce 1080 using the Geforce Experience and see what happens.

1f that doesnt work you can disanble High DPI scaling of DragonNest.exe under compatability, assuming you are using Windows 10.

Remove scaling under Display Options I believe, its usually sauto set above 125% if you have a high screen resolution, this step 2 that is applied system wide.

downgrade or upgrade DirectX.

When you say its blank, you mean also when you click the drop down list its also blank, if so it might also be a Window problem.

Good luck.
